Meet Joel Rothschild, an Ecovillagers Alliance Founding Organizer.
Joel is all about reviving democracy and equity at the grassroots. With a background in cooperative living, cooperative governance, urban design, and peer-to-peer systems engineering. He has spent 20 years developing web applications for progressive nonprofits, NGOs, and social enterprises—currently as a software engineer with Jackson River.
When asked about coworking, Joel says, “Humans are naturally social, familial, tribal — and the ways we work are increasingly not. Restoring a physical togetherness to our mechanized, atomized working lives is an important step toward restoring us to our power as people.”
Make sure to say hi to Joel when you see him around The Candy Factory.
