Garrett Drew Ellis—a member of The Candy Factory—is a freelance ghost and content writer, also serving as Executive Director and writing mentor with ProjectChristine Inc. As owner of LifeWrite Publications and Media, he helps new and emerging voices create memoirs, autobiographies and story based digital content. A lover of all written things, he is a storyteller at heart and loves to help people own their life’s story.

In a particularly exciting partnership between PerkUp & Co, The Candy Factory and The Mix at Arbor Place, Garrett also serves as the Employment Coach for The Mix & Perkup’s social enterprise program. Mentoring and teaching school aged youth who work at Perkup, he wrote and is currently implementing a 10 month curriculum program in which The Mix and PerkUp encourage, mentor and educate our youth toward job readiness and sustained employability.  He teaches career exploration, soft skills and other job readiness components.

” Our youth need to see that the world is quite large. Larger than the neighborhoods they come from. PerkUp and the Mix are trying to help them think just as big when thinking about their careers. It’s cliche but with the right coaching, the sky truly is the limit for these kids.
