NOT a Photographer WORKSHOP
March 16 @ 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
$199This workshop is appropriate for….
– Business Owners
– Hobbyist Photographers
– Parents
– Anyone who wants to learn photography but does not want to “become a photographer.”
Whether you want to learn how to capture your products for your business’s marketing content, are a hobbyist photographer with an itch to learn more, or a parent who just wants to capture your own family’s milestones, this workshop is for you.
We take the complicated “photography talk” out of the mix making using your camera like a pro simple and easy to understand.
Workshop Timeline:
9:00am
Start your day by learning how to use the available light, wherever you are, to achieve consistent, well lit photos no matter what camera you have.
Next, we’ll make camera settings simple for you so that you can pick up your camera and use it to create professional-level photos quickly and easily in your everyday life.
Though having a “big camera” with a detachable lens is best, if all you plan to use is your cell phone camera, that’s totally okay! We want you to walk away feeling confident to use whatever camera you plan to use in your real life…even your cell phone.
Be sure to bring your camera with you to class.
12:00
Lunch Break — We encourage everyone to pack a lunch so we can eat something during a good stopping point around noon. We will continue on with the learning once everyone is ready.
There is a full size fridge to store your lunch and a microwave to heat with. We also have filtered water in the fridge you are welcome to re-fill your water bottle with.
12:30
Once you’re feeling good about taking natural and available light photos with your camera, we’ll hop into the studio to talk through how to most effectively use studio lighting for those who want to have more control over their lighting situation (an option for business owners who have a dedicated space to shoot their products).
2:00
We will touch on composition (how to draw the viewer’s eye to the subject and get creative to develop your “eye for photography”).
3:00
Finally, we will dive into editing your photos simply and easily on your phone with the free Lightroom app to give them that polished, professional, clean look.
*You will need to download the free Adobe Lightroom editing app on your phone.
For those interested in diving deeper into editing, we suggest taking our Lightroom Editing Class where we go deep into editing RAW files using LrC on your desktop.
5:00
Q&A + Practice for those who have more questions.
After completing this workshop, you will feel confident using your camera and understand how to create a professional-level image.
