MAY 14TH

Food Truck Friday’s Summer Music Series

This week marks the official kickoff of Food Truck Fridays Summer Music Series at the Shops at Rockvale! This free, outdoor event will take place from 5 to 8 pm and feature the Springbrooke Band as well as an array of food trucks and beverages from Our Town Brewery, J & P Winery, and Lancaster Distilleries. Bring chairs or blankets and enjoy some tasty food and live entertainment! This event will be held monthly through September, visit their website or other dates.

MAY 14TH

Wharton Art Walk and Silent Auction

The Action Team for Enrichment is hosting a fundraiser for Wharton Elementary School After School Programs. The event will take place outdoors at Wharton Elementary school from 5-8 PM. They will have over 20 pieces of artwork from local artists as well as pieces from their very own Wharton artists up for bidding as part of their silent auction. They also have 5 food trucks and a DJ! Plus don’t forget to check out their awesome new Mural that was made by the PUBLIC ART after-school program! So stop by this fun socially distanced event to support kids in our community and score some cool art in the process!

Picnic in the Peaches 

Enjoy a relaxing brunch in row 12 of the peach orchard at Flinchbaugh’s Orchard! One of York County’s favorite local tea rooms, The Front Porch, has come up with an amazing seasonal menu for the event. Plus, they will even have a complimentary peach mimosa for each guest!  You can reserve tables for 2, 4, or 6 people.  Each table will include a boxed brunch for each person, teas, water, and the complimentary peach mimosa. Seatings are from 9 to 11 am. As you’re leaving, be sure to also pick up some of the coupon vouchers they will have available for the nearby antique shops.

MAY 15TH

GYROFEST @Lancaster Greek Orthodox Church

This year the event will be held drive-through style and the gyro platter will include a Greek Gyro sandwich wrapped in pita bread, two pieces of spanakopita (spinach pie), and a Greek salad. They will also have a delicious assortment of Greek desserts available to order. While you’re ordering your food, you also have the option to Donate a Dinner. For every $10 donated the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Lancaster will match it with another $10. This money will be used to fund the Food Box Distribution Program which the church operates every other Thursday. This program provides meals to those in need throughout the year. Typically 100-125 meals are handed out every other Thursday.
