Logan’s journey to where he is now has been just that, a journey.
After dropping out of Florida State University, Logan decided to start a clothing company, and his love for video production was born. To build brand awareness, he began filming videos to market his apparel, and just as he was dipping his toes into the video marketing world, he became sick… for the second time. You see, Logan has Crohn’s disease, a form of IBS that causes inflammation in the digestive tract and can be debilitating and even life-threatening.
Per Statista, “In 2020, there were around 2.5 million people with inflammatory bowel disease in the United States.” The CDC backs up these numbers stating that “In 2015, an estimated 1.3% of US adults (3 million) reported being diagnosed with IBD.”
Getting sick again was a curveball, but it ultimately spurred him down a path that would change the course of his life for the better.
Having begun his YouTube channel four years ago, he was inspired to start vlogging his daily life and his battle with Crohn’s. The response was positive, and he realized that sharing his experience with a chronic illness through film could help others.
He had regretted not filming his first bout, so when he got sick again and needed surgery, which he feared, he made it his mission to tell his story and record his journey. With all the footage he compiled, he put together his mini-documentary: “From Sick to Strong | My Crohn’s Journey.”
Getting an ostomy bag surgery had been the last thing he had ever wanted. He used to tell people that he would “rather die” than undergo it. But this time around was different. He decided to face it head-on and was determined to use it as an opportunity to help others get through their fears. Sharing his personal account could be a resource for others facing surgery.
He learned many valuable lessons while fighting this illness. In particular, his YouTube channel and the documentary were the perfect platform and offered a needed distraction. The transformation he underwent physically, mentally, emotionally from pre-op to post-op was monumental and is outlined in the film.
Navigating a new way of life hasn’t been easy, but he is finding ways to come out of this experience stronger and healthier. He also hopes this documentary will inspire those who need a little extra hope themselves, and even his surgeon recommends his vlogs to patients about to have the same surgery.
Logan wants everyone who finds his channel to get something of value out of it, whether it’s encouragement or motivation.
Thanks to the pursuit of his passion and perseverance, Logan’s life has been changed forever.
He has also gained countless valuable skills and knowledge since his youtube channel’s inception. These very skills have helped him go from dipping his toe into media production to building a six-figure video production company, Tremellen Media House.
Logan is living proof that, as the saying goes, if life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and we’re honored to have him as part of The Candy Factory Coworking Family.
