Thanks to the incredible support that we’ve received from our members and community, we are excited to announce that we will be developing an additional four floors of the Lancaster Storage Co. tower, effective September 2016.
The new floors will provide additional meeting space, smaller breakout rooms, showers/lockers, podcast room and private photo/video studio. With an added 4,000 square feet of dedicated workspace, we will be able to provide even more space for startups and organizations with several employees. Members will have access to the 6th floor lounge with great views of our wonderful city!
We are currently accepting new members and are happy to talk to companies, startups and entrepreneurs interested in joining our wonderful downtown community!
To whom it may concern,
I am a molecular biology student at Millersville, and a lifelong resident of Lancaster. I am currently competing in a business plan competition, held by PASSHE, the organization which governs all Pennsylvania state colleges and universities. My entry is for a small-scale, specialty biotech company. If I was to win said competition, I would be awarded up to $10,000, and would rather immediately be required to establish the company which my business plan outlines.
I have been working with several professors of business, entrepreneurship, and marketing (Dr. Thomas Boyle, who referred me to you) at Millersville, as well as with scientists from Aspire Ventures, in order to draft my business plan. However, that’s as far as I’ve gotten: planning.
If I were to be awarded any monetary prize from the competition, and was therefore required to actually “start-up,” do you feel that The Candy Factory would at all be willing to house a theoretical biotech start-up? While this is still very hypothetical, the business plan competition requires that I prove that a suitable location/workplace has agreed to grant the business space. I have been following your work for some time now, and was very excited to learn of your developments with the Lancaster Storage Company tower. While I know this is not until September 2016, the results of the competition will not be known until April 2016. Considering your additional space, do you feel that The Candy Factory would possibly be willing to grant space to such a start-up?
I apologize for the rambling: I simply hope to determine whether or not The Candy Factory would be a viable option for a workplace, as I find your location, resources, and philosophy incredibly ideal.
Thank you very much for your time, and for any consideration.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Frank Herr
My apologies!
I thought my above post was to contact you directly – not to post it on your webpage. I have also sent it to you via your “Contact” page.
Thanks again!
