"I love helping people dig deep to discover what matters to them: I am a story finder.
My first teaching and editing gigs were back in the mid-1980s at Harvard Law School where I taught legal writing and research to first-year law students and also served as an editor for the Harvard Women's Law Journal.
Fast forward thirty-plus years, two children, an ex-husband, and multiple moves around the country, today I find joy coaching women who have a story or message they are burning to share with the world through Dream-to-Draft, my signature program that is designed for first-time authors. I also coach students applying to college and graduate school and help them craft compelling personal statements that communicate their best selves.
Oh, and in my spare time, I am finishing my memoir, WRITING MYSELF OUT, which I will be pitching to agents shortly.
I get to spend my days immersed in story. What could be better than that?
On a personal note, I moved to Lancaster in June 2017. I love my new hometown! I serve as a board member of The Lancaster LGBTQ+ Coalition (also located at The Candy Factory), practice yoga regularly at Evolution Power Yoga, and enjoy hanging out with my partner, Wendy, and our 7.5 lb. rescue pup, Lucy. Life is good."
