YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT: Bench Mark Program
Bench Mark offers free personal training services to youth identified as “at-risk” by local high schools and community organizations. They have cultivated a safe, positive space to teach hard work, goal setting, and grit. By establishing a strong foundation through weightlifting first, students respond positively to mentorship and in turn are able to build a support network that helps them reach their full potential.
There are plenty of ways to continue to celebrate and support black excellence in our community....
