Recognizing the vital role that nutrition plays in the lives of children, Power Packs Project supports area youth by providing low-cost meals to families. By empowering children and serving their health and nutritional challenges, youth are prepared to excel in school and serve the broader community. In accordance with theLancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation, the Power Packs Projects enhances “child mental resilience, physical health and health habits” while “strengthening parenting as a way to promote the healthy mental and behavioral development of children.”
Did you know that over 58,000 Lancaster County residents are food-insecure? In fact, 1 in 5 children suffer from food insecurity, a 57% increase from 1990. To combat this alarming statistic, Power Packs Project distributes 3 weekend meals to 1,600+ families in 14 school districts totaling in more than 600,000 meals per year.
The Sweet Core was tasked with creating a donor/volunteer brochure highlighting the ways in which the community could get involved. We created a custom infographic, stylized icons and organized content flow.
