TCF Member Woody Adams of RecPoker shares his tips and tricks for the basics of poker playing.
“Our focus will be on No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em — Multi-Table Tournament strategies. We can begin to understand the principles of poker by playing toy games to start. The simple game of stay or fold very quickly demonstrates the two most important and practical principles of poker — hand ranking, and the power of position. Players will also play more high card hands and pairs, thus, beginning to grasp hand selection. The complexity of poker comes in with advanced betting strategies. We will get into some betting strategies right away so that we can begin to play the game.”
