Since 2008, Sarah Lanphier and her mother, Gayle Lanphier, have committed to crafting specialty  handmade, fresh and wholesome granola. Their company, Nuts About Granola, has received high-profile accolades from the Rachel Ray Show and Martha Stewart.

DSC_3095“The company started as a college project,” admits Sarah. A graduate of Elizabethtown College, Sarah received a Bachelors of Science in Business with concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. As a collegiate triathlete, Sarah developed a simple and delicious recipe for granola in support of the team’s fundraising efforts.

From there, Sarah positioned the business in conjunction with various school projects and quickly developed a business strategy and marketing plan. She incorporated the company during her senior year and never looked back.

“I spent three years planning the company. Today, the business model has completely changed. We’ve since transitioned into private labeling and wholesaling. It was a more viable avenue for us and the business,” said Sarah.

With corporate ties from across the country, Sarah is proud to call Pennsylvania home.
