Rather than performing individual sets, Nathan and Jessica will share the stage for the entire show, volleying back and forth and performing their songs in answer to each other.

Nathan Landis Funk is a Canadian/American singer-songwriter, musician, and performer whose songs infuse catchy folk jams and contemplative piano ballads with dramatic storytelling true to his theater roots. His music explores themes of faith, disillusionment, and finding your way when life plans get shipwrecked. His first full-length album, Here’s to the Sojourners, came out in December. Jessica Smucker is a poet and songwriter who believes that the best way to change the world is to channel our pain into connection. Her songs have a way of reaching deep into people’s souls and inviting the kind of reflection that feels both reassuring and unsettling. Wrapped in catchy melodies, her lyrics appear simple and relatable on the surface, but each listen will uncover more hidden pockets of nuance. Her most recent album, Lucid Stories, Tentative Lies, came out in October 2020 and she has since released four singles (with another one dropping the day before the show, on March 11).
