So, for the last two months, I’ve been trying to cultivate relationships with potential new clients and referrals for growing my business by attending two local business referral networks groups. I was drawn to the idea of participating in these gatherings because it made me lean into presenting my business and what I offer to a group of people who don’t know what I do. What I soon discovered was I would need to pay a lot of money in chapter dues to be able to attend future meetings and be able to provide referrals and make referrals to stay as an active member.
