The temps in Central PA reached 70 degrees last Friday for a real taste of spring! (Of course, I saw some snow flurrying in Lebanon on Saturday, but we won’t go there). To shake off the winter blues for even just a little while, Anne and I went for an afternoon drive with the sunroof open in search of a perfect late lunch. We found it at Tomato Pie Café, in the heart of downtown Lititz, PA where we were able to snag a table for two out on the patio.

Anne ordered a slice of the café’s signature Tomato Pie, an original creation by the Fisher Family, who opened the café nearly ten years ago. Paired with a side salad, this flaky pie crust filled with red tomatoes and covered with cheesy topping was a delight for such a gorgeous day.

While most of the breakfast items on the menu are only served until 2 p.m., you can enjoy the bowls all day, so I went with the Sweet Potato Breakfast Bowl which includes ancient grains, corn, roasted sweet potatoes, and avocado, and is topped with two sunny side up eggs. If that doesn’t already sound amazing, the whole bowl is drizzled with sweet sriracha sauce! It’s also vegetarian and gluten-free.

Inside seating at the Tomato Pie Café is casual and cozy making it a great spot for a quick bite even if we have a few more weeks with a chill in the air. Pay them a visit at 29 N. Broad St. in downtown Lititz or their Harrisburg location at 3950 TecPort Drive.
